My name is Janice Pizzello. I have four children and two grandkids, and I am a breast cancer survivor.
 
When I’m not dancing in the aisles of my store, I’m shouting from the rooftops that all women (including MY girls) need to get checked every year. Cancer is an ugly word. But you cannot be afraid of it. Look it straight in the eye. You’re not alone; so many women are going through this.
 
You need to get checked. The message is getting out, and women are so much more aware these days. Women have GOT to get their mammograms. You cannot miss a year; I did, and I may have missed my chance to discover it early.
 
If I could encourage women with one thought, it would be: Survive and rejoice! Embrace the trial. My life is going on, and I feel marvelous. Sing, dance, and rejoice every day.
