I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 8 am on November 14, 2008. They said life had thrown me a curve ball but I would recover since they caught it so early. They were able to get most of the cancer with the biopsy.

My husband was a rock and went with me to every single treatment.

I learned I didn’t need chemo right before Christmas, which was the best present I will ever get in my lifetime. Early detection is key. All the ladies I work with have gone and done mammograms. At first you are devastated and stunned, even in denial, then you fight with everything you’ve got and say this is not going to get me down, this is not going to get me. My husband was a rock and went with me to every single treatment and my daughter who is 21 went with me as well. The support and love of family, friends and co-workers pulls you through.
