My very first mammogram revealed that I had breast cancer, even though there was no family history. Chemo and radiation treatments were rough, but I was determined to fight. With great family support, I learned all I could about this terrible disease. Now that I’m in remission, I make it a point to educate, support and encourage other women who have been diagnosed to stay strong. It’s a very good feeling.
