I thought I was imagining the lump in my breast because a dear friend and co-worker had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking no chances, I made an appointment with my doctor. I am so thankful that I did. Upon hearing the diagnosis, I had to be strong, not only for myself, but for my children so we all could make it through this challenge.

Find that reason to smile every day.

Even though I already knew this before, family and friends are life's treasures. Also, bald can be beautiful! Everyday, I am thankful for my wonderful family and friends. Don't let cancer take away the important things in your life.
