I found my lump while I was in the shower. I knew that early detection was the best way to survive so I scheduled a mammogram and a biopsy. I didn’t fit the profile but the tests showed I had an aggressive form of breast cancer. That day was Feb. 21, 2000. During treatment and recovery my husband was at my side to listen, ask questions and share the funny and not-so-funny parts of cancer. You have to try to find the humor in the situation.
