When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I thought, what do I do? Who do I call? But what I learned is that I could challenge breast cancer by having a positive attitude, driving positive things in my life. Cancer doesn’t own me.
Find breast cancer early and get treated.
I couldn’t have made it through treatments without my friends and family. So many people wanted to help and wanted to be there for me. The hugs and talks sincerely helped. My son wished me luck before each and every treatment.
My one piece of advice is to please get a mammogram. Take care of yourself now. Remind someone you love to get theirs. It’s so important to get checked. Do your monthly exams. It’s never too early. Find breast cancer early and get treated.
