My experience with breast cancer began in March 2007, when my cancer was found during a routine mammogram. There was no history of breast cancer in my family. Prior to my diagnosis, I knew absolutely nothing about the disease.

My treatment involved a lumpectomy and full dissection on the right side, followed by chemotherapy.

Having a strong support system was so important as I fought this. So was my faith.
