My experience with breast cancer began in March 2007, when my cancer was found during a routine mammogram. There was no history of breast cancer in my family. Prior to my diagnosis, I knew absolutely nothing about the disease.
My treatment involved a lumpectomy and full dissection on the right side, followed by chemotherapy.
You are stronger than you think you can be, and bald ain’t so bad!
Having a strong support system was so important as I fought this. So was my faith.
I learned a great deal during my treatment and recovery. Mainly, I found out that I’m a lot stronger than I ever thought I was.
Today, I feel great.
To other women facing this, I send one thought: You are a lot stronger than you think you can be! Remember, bald ain't so bad!!
