I was showering when I felt a lump, but I put off seeing a doctor until after the holidays. It was about three months from the time I felt the lump to when I found out I had pretty serious cancer. I told my doctor to do what he had to do to save my life.
 
I absolutely love life, and I made a decision to enjoy every precious moment and charge ahead with a sense of humor. When I was bald I wore big earrings and had fun with it. I’m putting in a garden for the first time in three years, and I’m just thrilled. There are no words to express how wonderful my family and friends were to me. It was a bump in the road…a difficult bump, but it’s over.
