My name is Christina Campbell, and I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed when I was just 30 years old. I couldn’t believe it – I was just shocked and cried my heart out. But then I realized, “I’ve got to be bigger than this,” and that’s when I knew I was going to beat it. I would like every woman facing breast cancer to know that she is not alone. After my diagnosis, my greatest fear was going through chemo and losing my hair. I learned to handle it by trying to find something humorous in everything I went through, from naming my wig (Harriet) to hosting an “I’m Done with Chemo” party. It’s so important to keep an optimistic attitude when you’re dealing with breast cancer. Today I feel great! I’m five years strong, and what doctors told me would probably never happen has happened – I’m going to be a mom this fall! I’m so very excited about that! - Christina
